Large commercial spaces often lack natural light, resulting in a dull, enclosed atmosphere. Traditional single skylights are too small to make an impact. The Lumin modular artificial sky ceiling system solves this by allowing multiple ultra-thin LED skylight panels to be joined together, forming a large, continuous sky ceiling that transforms the entire space.
Whether you are designing a hotel lobby, an exhibition hall, a shopping mall, or an airport terminal, this modular system lets you create a sky ceiling of virtually any size. The rectangular panels (300×600mm, 600×600mm, 300×1200mm, 600×1200mm) can be spliced edge-to-edge to form a large visual sky surface. Please note that a fine seam line is visible where panels meet. The circular Ø1200mm panel cannot be spliced and is used as a standalone centerpiece.
How Modular Splicing Works
Each panel has a slim 50mm aluminum frame that allows edge-to-edge alignment. When panels are joined, the sky image continues across the surface, creating the impression of a large sky. A fine seam line is visible between panels. The border of each panel emits tunable white light, providing general illumination while the center displays the blue sky. The result is a dual-function ceiling: a large sky view and a functional light source in one integrated system.
The panels can be spliced in linear rows, grids, or custom configurations. A typical installation might use a 4×4 grid of 600×600mm panels to create a 2.4m × 2.4m sky ceiling, or a 2×6 array of 300×1200mm panels for a long corridor. Custom sizes and shapes are available upon request.
